Postdoc receives Fellowship

Dr. Laura Brannelly, a Postdoc in the RZ lab, was recently awarded the Discovery Early Career Researcher Award from the Australian Research Council. This prestigious fellowship is designed to support excellent basic and applied research, and advance promising early career researchers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Laura, but bitter-sweet for us, as Laura will be taking her talents to James Cook University in the summer of 2018 to begin her new project. In Australia, Laura is planning to explore the impact of chytridiomycosis on reproductive success in amphibians using both lab and field studies, in the hopes of developing novel approaches for the conservation of a broad range of wildlife under threat from emerging pathogens.

We will miss Laura and wish her all the best on her new adventure!
